Interact is a regular support and social group for gay and bisexual men and men who have sex with men, organised by Dhiverse. You can attend any event for as long as you want i.e. you can drop in, stay for the whole event, come to every event or just occasionally. It’s a safe, friendly and relaxed space where you can talk about your experiences, find out about what community events there are out there, and overcome any barriers you might experience in accessing the kind of social/support networks you might want to be part of. You can get free sexual health information and if you’d like 1-1 support or counselling, just speak to Graham and he’ll be able to organise this for you.
Meetup is a place for anyone to organise or join events, and the Cambridge LGBTQ+ Meetup is now filling up with online events. Anyone can join, you need a Meetup account, which is quick and free to make. “The purpose of this group is to create an easy-going climate, where people can make new friends and form a local community and pursue social activities together.” https://www.meetup.com/Cambridge-Gay-Group/
Zoom is a video call platform, that allows you to chat and see people in a group. You can run it on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer, as long as you have a camera and microphone or headphones. The host of the event will share a link – follow it, and it will tell you how to download and use Zoom to join the call. https://zoom.us/
