Welcome to join in a special session of Queers in Quarantine Kitchen in collaboration with QWiC.
Join us in turning our kitchens into labs, with the equipment you probably already have in the cupboard (or could easily get in a supermarket along with your groceries).
We’ll go through a bunch of experiments that demonstrate how amazing physics, chemistry, and the universe around us is (current situation notwithstanding…). Best done in kitchen or bathroom in case things spill…
We’ll make use of: (Don’t worry if you don’t have all of it 🙂 There’ll be plenty you’ll be able to do yourself in any case!)
clear plastic cups/glasses,
hot water (from the sink),
cold water (prepare a bunch of ice cubes!),
food colouring (at least one, or more colours if you have),
paper straws (or eye droppers),
a cotton bud, cornstarch,
a sharpened pencil,
metal paper clips,
a handful of spaghetti,
a slice of bread,
a teabag and a match (if you dare),
a hard-boiled egg,
You can join with video, just audio, or neither, as you prefer.
