LGBT+ Book Club
September 27 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Join us for a chat and cuppa with our book group focusing on books with a queer theme: fiction or nonfiction, by queer and non-queer authors alike, all themes standing under the broad umbrella of the LGBTQIA+ community.
This month we’ll be reading ‘Moab is my Washpot’ the bestselling autobiography by Stephen Fry: ‘One of the most poignant, funny, intelligent, frank and horribly addictive books you’re likely to read all year’ – Sunday Telegraph.
We’ll also be celebrating the book club’s 1 year anniversary, so bring your party hats!
Please note: this event takes place on the Friday rather than the standard last Wednesday of the month
We meet on the 3rd floor of Waterstones in the event space, near the LGBT book section. Refreshments will be provided. The next month’s book as well as the rest of the store for a short while after the event until 8pm.
Access: There is gender neutral wheelchair accessible toilets on the 1st floor of Waterstones, along with gendered non-accessible toilets on the 2nd floor. The event space is accessed by the lift at the back of the store, if that lift is unavailable for any reason the event will move to below the event space with access from the smaller front lift. The event space is quiet with good lighting and we encourage people to ask if there is any difficulty hearing. There is no parking nearby.
