Bring Your Own Queer Reading
February 25 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Hosted by Encompass Network and Cambridgeshire Libraries
Thursday, 25th February 10, 6-7pm Online
What are your favourite queer stories? Are they books about real-world fictional LGBTQ+ characters, like Tipping the Velvet or Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe? Sci-fi cultures where gender and sexuality are very different, like Ancillary Justice or Star Wars fanfiction? Or is it books where you realised something about yourself – did you identify with George in Famous Five? Come along to our relaxed ‘reading group’, bring a passage from your favourite LGBTQ+ novel, poetry, short story, fanfiction or screenplay to read (we ask that you keep it PG!), and we will all talk about what makes these books special to us. Please e-mail Libraries.ReferralCentre-@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bring-your-own-queer-reading-registration-137620232821 to book your place and for details of how to access this online event.
