Blood Music – new queer comedy play
July 23 @ 9:30 pm - July 27 @ 9:30 pm£7 – £9.00
‘All brains and no blood…well that’s just no good for anyone.’
Emily and Andy used to say they were soulmates, but the rhythm of their bodies broke them apart and now they’re ‘all grown up’. 10 years on and a chance reunion highlights how much their worlds have changed. It’s a struggle to even share the same language, to fit into each other’s lives and those of their (would-be) partners, Dave and Beau. In the midst of all this change, there is one constant, forever calling, the sound of the blood music. But do they control it or it them? And will they listen to it?
With an eclectic soundtrack of nostalgia and new discoveries pumping the blood in their ears, Emily, Andy, Beau and David embark on a gently comic exploration of friendship, love, sex and meaning.
Blood Music is one of six original one-act plays that make up the WRiTEON Festival, a celebration of new writing across all three ADC venues: the ADC Auditorium, the Corpus Playroom, and the Larkum Studio. This unique collection spans genres, themes and styles. Dip in or complete the set for the full experience.
Did you know that if you buy a ticket for the other WRiTEON Stage Festival play at this venue, Sink or Swim, at the same time you can enjoy a 20% discount on the cost of both tickets? Better yet, if you buy tickets for the whole festival in one go you can enjoy a 25% discount on the total cost. We encourage you to see as many of the plays as you can!
