The second part of Tony Kushner’s epic drama. It tracks the AIDS crisis in New York and leans even further into the magical realist elements which are gestured towards in the first part. An Angel visits a gay man living with HIV and tells him that he is a prophet, real life New York lawyer Roy Cohn is dying in his hospital bed, and Mormon Joe explores his sexuality. All the while, heaven is growing yet more angry with earth.
